Terms of Service
Last updated: June 22, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your access to and use of OT3Dresource.org and all pages, content, and features available through that domain, whether the site appears as "OT 3D Resource" or "3D Printing in Occupational Therapy" (the "Site"). "Site owner" means the person who owns and operates the Site.
By using the Site, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Legal Disclaimer, which are part of these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Purpose of the Site
The Site is a public educational resource created as part of a doctoral occupational therapy capstone project. It is meant to help users learn about 3D printing, adaptive equipment concepts, assistive technology, and related topics relevant to occupational therapy and similar fields. The Site is informational only. It does not provide individualized occupational therapy, medical care, legal advice, engineering services, supervision, telehealth, emergency response, or treatment.
Who may use the Site
You may use the Site only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms. The Site is meant for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use the contact form or submit any information through the Site. If you are under 18, use the Site only with appropriate adult involvement and consistent with applicable law and any rules that apply to you.
You agree not to use the Site to:
- break any law, regulation, ethical standard, institutional rule, or scope-of-practice requirement;
- apply information from the Site to clinical care without your own professional judgment;
- interfere with the operation or security of the Site;
- introduce malware or other harmful code;
- scrape or harvest Site content or visitor information without authorization;
- infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or confidentiality rights; or
- use the Site in a deceptive, abusive, defamatory, fraudulent, or otherwise unlawful way.
No files or sales hosted by the Site
The Site does not host files for visitors to download directly. It may link to third-party repositories, source pages, communities, tutorials, videos, and other outside resources where files or related materials may be available under the third party's own terms and licenses. Any download, purchase, printing, or use that happens after you leave the Site is between you and that third party, not the Site owner.
No professional relationship
Using the Site does not create a therapist-client, provider-patient, supervisory, fiduciary, advisory, or other professional relationship with the Site owner. Nothing on the Site replaces individualized professional advice, independent safety review, clinical evaluation, or qualified supervision. The Legal Disclaimer explains these limits in more detail. If you are a licensed professional, you remain responsible for following the laws, regulations, standards, payer rules, facility policies, and ethical duties that apply to your own practice.
Licensure and titles
Nothing on the Site authorizes anyone to practice a profession without the required license or authorization, or to act beyond their lawful scope or competence. Under New York law, only a person who is licensed or otherwise authorized may use the title "occupational therapist" or "occupational therapy assistant." The Site owner makes no claim about licensure status except as stated directly on the Site.
Third-party content and links
The Site may link to outside websites, repositories, organizations, tutorials, videos, communities, and other content. These links are provided for convenience and educational reference. The Site owner does not control and is not responsible for the content, policies, terms, licensing, accessibility, safety, privacy practices, accuracy, availability, or legality of any outside resource. A link does not imply affiliation, endorsement, or approval unless the Site says so.
Intellectual property
Unless noted otherwise, the Site's original text, the selection and arrangement of its content, its educational summaries, page design, and graphics created by or for the Site owner belong to the Site owner or are used with permission, and are protected by intellectual property law. You may use the Site for personal, educational, and noncommercial purposes.
Without prior written permission from the Site owner, and except as the law allows, you may not:
- reproduce, republish, distribute, display, sell, license, or otherwise exploit Site content;
- create derivative works from Site content;
- remove copyright, attribution, trademark, or other notices; or
- frame or mirror the Site or present it as your own.
Third-party names, logos, files, images, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. You are responsible for reviewing and following any third-party licenses that apply to linked content.
If you believe content on the Site infringes your rights, you can let the Site owner know through the contact form. The Site owner may remove or revise content in response.
Contact form and feedback
If you send a message through the contact form, you confirm that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you have the right to share it, that it does not violate any law or third-party right, and that it does not include patient-identifying information, protected health information, or confidential clinical records. The Site owner is not required to respond and may decline, delete, or disregard any message that appears inappropriate, unlawful, unsafe, or unrelated to the Site's purpose.
If you choose to send ideas, feedback, or corrections about the Site, you grant the Site owner a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use them without compensation or obligation to you.
Privacy
Your use of the Site is also covered by the Privacy Policy. By using the Site or the contact form, you acknowledge the Privacy Policy and agree to the handling of information described there.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the Site owner disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, non-infringement, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, security, and availability.
The Site owner does not warrant that the Site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure; that the Site or any linked resource will always be available; that any linked file, product, device, or tutorial is safe, effective, lawful, current, or accurate; or that any particular result will come from using information on the Site.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the Site owner and anyone involved in creating or operating the Site will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, business, or profits, or for personal injury, property damage, device failure, or print failure arising out of or relating to the Site, any linked resource, or your use of or reliance on the Site.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the total liability of the Site owner for all claims relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). These limits apply regardless of the form of the claim and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Site owner and anyone involved in developing or operating the Site from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, your misuse of third-party files or resources reached through the Site, or any information you submit through the contact form.
Changes, suspension, and termination
The Site owner may update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice, and may revise these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or the Legal Disclaimer by posting updated versions. If you keep using the Site after changes are posted, you accept the updated version.
Governing law and venue
These Terms and any dispute relating to the Site are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any action relating to the Site or these Terms will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to the jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
Severability and waiver
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. A waiver is only valid if it is in writing, and waiving one breach does not waive any later breach.
Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Legal Disclaimer, are the entire agreement between you and the Site owner about the Site and replace any earlier understanding about it.
Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent through the contact form on the Site.
