OT3Dresource.org, which may also appear as "OT 3D Resource" or "3D Printing in Occupational Therapy" (the "Site"), is an educational website created as part of a doctoral occupational therapy capstone project. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you visit or use the Site, and how it may be used. "Site owner" means the person who owns and operates the Site.

By using the Site, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy.

Information you submit through the contact form

The contact form is the only place where you can directly send information to the Site owner. If you use it, the Site owner may receive the information you choose to include, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message. Because the Site is hosted on Squarespace, your submission may also be processed by Squarespace before it reaches the Site owner.

The Site does not offer accounts, comments, memberships, purchases, newsletters, or downloadable files hosted by the Site. The contact form is the only routine way to submit information.

Information collected automatically by the hosting platform

The Site is hosted on Squarespace. As the hosting and analytics platform, Squarespace may automatically collect certain technical and usage information according to its own policies. This may include details about your browser or device, your IP address, the pages you view, and how you interact with the Site. The Site owner does not control how Squarespace collects or processes this information. To understand it fully, please review Squarespace's current privacy and cookie policies.

How information may be used

Information from the Site may be used to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site; to respond to messages sent through the contact form; to understand how visitors use the Site; to improve educational content; to protect the Site, its visitors, and the Site owner; and to meet legal obligations. The Site owner does not sell information submitted through the contact form and does not use it for marketing emails.

Cookies and similar technologies

Squarespace may use cookies and similar technologies to help the Site function, keep it secure, and measure how it is used. The Site shows a cookie banner, and your choices there control the non-essential cookies it describes. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. If you follow a link to an outside website, that site may set its own cookies under its own policies, which the Site owner does not control.

Third-party links and outside resources

The Site describes, organizes, and links to outside resources, including file repositories, tutorials, videos, communities, and assistive technology or 3D printing materials. The Site owner does not own, operate, or control these resources unless the Site says otherwise. Your use of any outside site, file, or service is governed by that third party's own terms, policies, and licenses, and you are responsible for reviewing them.

Health information and submissions to avoid

The Site is not meant to collect protected health information or any confidential clinical details. Please do not send patient names, dates of birth, medical record numbers, diagnoses, treatment details, insurance information, patient photographs, or similar information through the contact form. The Site is also not meant for emergencies or time-sensitive clinical matters. If this kind of information is submitted, the Site owner may delete it or decline to respond in order to reduce privacy and security risk.

Sharing information

Information may be shared with Squarespace and any other service providers reasonably needed to run the Site, such as for hosting, security, or communications. Information may also be disclosed if reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce Site policies, protect rights or safety, or in connection with a transfer of the Site. The Site owner does not sell information submitted through the contact form.

Keeping and protecting information

The Site owner uses reasonable safeguards suited to the nature of the information and the size of the Site. Even so, no website, contact form, or email can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Contact form messages may be kept for as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain ordinary records, resolve disputes, enforce policies, or comply with law, and may then be deleted or archived.

Children and minors

The Site is a general educational resource and is not directed to children under 13. The Site owner does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the contact form. If the Site owner learns that such information has been submitted without appropriate consent, the Site owner will take reasonable steps to delete it. If you are under 18, use the contact form only with the involvement of a parent, guardian, educator, or other appropriate adult.

Visitors outside the United States

Because the Site is hosted on Squarespace and may use providers based in the United States or elsewhere, information collected through the Site may be processed or transferred outside the place where you live, including to the United States. Data-protection laws in those locations may differ from the ones where you live.

Your choices and requests

If you have sent information through the contact form and want to access, correct, or delete it, you can ask through the contact form. The Site owner may need to confirm your identity and may keep information as needed for recordkeeping, legal compliance, or security.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

The Site owner may update this Privacy Policy over time. Changes take effect when posted with a new "Last updated" date. If you keep using the Site after an update, you acknowledge the revised Policy.
