Assembly Process: Align all printed parts and secure them with 2 screws. Apply the mouse skates to the bottom of the printed piece in two columns and 3 rows. Secure the pen in the front of the device using the last remaining screw.

Functional Use: This device is a mouse-shaped tool that supports the hand while a pen mounted at the front stays off the page until the top is pressed down. Low-friction mouse skates on the base let the hand slide to write or draw without gripping a pen, and it works for either hand.

Client Factors: May be relevant when grip strength, fine motor control, or finger and wrist range of motion is reduced.

Performance Skills: The device supports the hand and slides on the surface, so the client moves the whole hand to write rather than gripping and manipulating a pen, and presses the top to make the pen write.

Safety Considerations: It needs a flat surface for the skates to work, so set it on a stable table. Changing the pen requires manipulation of the front screw, so a helper may be needed for that step.
